Dr. Bernice Rumala assisted women and girls in a camp for internally displaced persons near eastern Mosul in IraqIn 2016, Bernice Rumala served On a UN emergency mission in Iraq. This urgent mission is also a continuation of providing a voice for dignity of women and girls who have been silenced and restricted to their homes for more than two years due to ISIL rule. Dr. Bernice Rumala also provided a keynote speech on health equity and human rights in Iraq where she emphasized women’s health and social dignity.
